WEDDING PLANNING

When I first spoke with excited bride, Cherrie, in January of 2020 we instantly connected and we both were in love with her vision for a living coral color theme for her intimate wedding for 50 with extended family and their closest of friends. We co-created extensive mood boards and fine tuned the dial several times, with Cherrie’s artistic eye as an architect and our extensive collection of vintage rentals we let the ideas freely flow. But then…COVID. And the world, and Cherrie and Richard’s plans, were on hold. An August wedding was not looking possible, especially with travel restrictions.

Cherrie & Richard, like so many covid bride & grooms, were in limbo … wondered if they should proceed as an elopement OR postpone the whole wedding. One afternoon while checking in with Cherrie she said conclusively: “It’s OK…then I can really FOCUS on Richard - that IS what this really is all about!” and from that moment on it became a whole new ball game. #truelove #lovewins

SO. We simply modified the plan. The wedding ceremony will be at historic Church of the Wayfarer, as planned, with family and friends watching VIRTUALLY. A simple champagne toast afterwards. Pictures at the beach. Afterwards: a romantic dinner for two! We found a charming VRBO rental where they could not only stay, but have an intimate gourmet dinner at a vintage inspired sweetheart table in the garden. With candles glowing, twinkling stars and the lingering scent of sea salt & cypresses as only Carmel can offer….
